Current net worth: $3,085.04 - noice
Last month, I said that during October I was going to experience an insane amount of growth in my net worth. I was very correct. This month I worked my ass off - I asked to be rostered for as many hours as possible, and I offered to work overtime whenever I could.
All that hard work was rewarded with four delicious paychecks this month. Here's what I bought:
I gotta say, even though my new TV technically isn't an asset that makes me money it certainly makes me happy. Money well spent. I also bought AfterPay shares at $13.20... pretty risky, but I plan to hold on to these for the long term. I have faith that AfterPay will grow to be a larger, more successful business. Their business model is so different from competitors.
International markets in October experienced massive slow downs, costing me about $130. I'll be honest, when I heard about that I just laughed... the short term does not concern me at all. I plan to hold these for the long haul, and compound my wealth over time.
The month of November is the month of my university exams. Sure, I could continue to work heaps during the week, but I decided to invest in my future and take a break from work for three weeks to prepare as well as I can, to achieve as well as I can. I predict that next month's growth in my net worth will be significantly lower than any month so far. Oh well, if I can't invest in the stock market at least I'm investing in my education.
Wish me luck in my exams... if there's anyone there :/
May the power of compounding be with you all.
